Victoria is 4 years old. She goes to kindergarten. Her mother got to know (because the mother of one of Victoria’s companions told her) that at school there was a new student with Down syndrome. Check this dialogue.
Mum: Vicky, do you have any new companions at school this year?
Mum: Anyone behaving in a strange way?
Mum: Is there anyone that is different? (The mother by now was becoming nervous, she wanted to teach Vicky to include and be nice to her new companion)
Vicky: Mum, we are all different…if not how could parents tell who is their own kid?
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MOTHER! She did not even have to open her mouth to teach Vicky ANYTHING! She already knew!!
WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE ARE UNIQUE!
Let’s celebrate our differences. Let’s not be afraid of the differences…that make us who we are…they make us unique!
